How to Test and Replace a Flushmate System

Sloan M-101526-F31 Flushmate System

  • From Pauline Gibbs at 1/6/17 11:16 AM
    • Q: I have read all the info in troubleshooting for leaks. There isn't any info on my problem. Water is shooting from the back of the tank way at the top. Looks like several pinholes of water shooting straight up and the water, does not stop running. Shots up and out on the floor.
    • A: Unfortunately these system can sometimes develop cracks or small pinhole leaks in the tank. You will need to replace your complete Flushmate system. Please call or text us and one of our Flushmate experts will help you determine the correct replacement.

    • Q: So the system I have in my toilet now is leaking the same way as above question. My Odell number is M-101526-F3 is this the replacement for it?
    • A: To find the correct replacement Flushmate system, you will want to reference your Serial Number instead of your Model Number. Your Serial Number will look something like MMDDYY-F31-XXXX. We have a helpful identification tool on our website that will guide you to the correct system, http://www.flushmaterepairparts.com/serial-numbers

    • Q: We also experienced the same problem of several pinhole leaks after 17 years. We removed the tank and tried to epoxy it as a temporary fix while we waited for the new tank to come since we have only one toilet in the house. Using epoxy was unsuccessful and we just had to muddle through. Thankfully, the new tank came in just a few days rather than the week the website originally predicted. Now if we can just solve the problem of the flush handle falling off a few times a month, we'll be very happy. No one has been able to solve that one for at least 16 of the 17 years we've had the toilet. Maybe we should epoxy that!
    • A: We recommend replacing your current handle and rod kit to the updated Sloan Flushmate AP300503 Handle Replacement Kit for 503 series (Part #162836).

The updated handle kit includes a cable instead of your metal rod that will stay connected to your handle to activate the flush cartridge properly.
